Hi All
I am looking for the best way to ground a wire to the back of a CD player!
-
I used a bit of metal just below the back of the CD player (basically behind the climate unit) :happy2:
-
Did you just tape it? Ive stuck it to the back with tape

thats not good enough really and in a extreme case could cause heat due to being a bad earth and start a fire
-
I know that, Was looking for some suggestions!

In my old car I would use either a thick screw, strip enough of the sleeve off to wrap it around the screw or bolt and then screw it back in clamping the wire between the piece of metal and the screw/bolt head. Alternatively I used my gas soldering pen to help seal a connection on the wire.

Ring crimps behind a screw, anything else is asking for trouble. :scared:

Its got a ring crimp on the end sorry, I have tapped the ring crimp to the back of the cd player it says mount it tro the outer casing

Needs to be fixed securely be either a self tapper (screw) or a bolt to the cars metal work. Anything else is asking for trouble !
PS dont do any electrics in your house because that will end in big trouble
