Title: Best Way to ground a wire

I am looking for the best way to ground a wire to the back of a CD player!

thats not good enough really and in a extreme case could cause heat due to being a bad earth and start a fire

Post by: nezquick on March 02, 2012, 01:54:38 pm: In my old car I would use either a thick screw, strip enough of the sleeve off to wrap it around the screw or bolt and then screw it back in clamping the wire between the piece of metal and the screw/bolt head. Alternatively I used my gas soldering pen to help seal a connection on the wire.

Post by: brough74 on March 02, 2012, 02:34:40 pm: Needs to be fixed securely be either a self tapper (screw) or a bolt to the cars metal work. Anything else is asking for trouble !

PS dont do any electrics in your house because that will end in big trouble
