Post by: Syrag64 on March 03, 2012, 01:34:06 am
Right to be honest i've worked 72 hours this week..and i've had a couple of small drinks.....(my excuse for possibly a silly question  :signLOL:)..just been looking thru ebay and found some nice alloys I quite lke....the specs are:

ET 52
9J x 19J
5x 112

Now would these fit? what tyres would I need to not rub (car is lowered on coilovers)

Be nice i've had a hard week  :signLOL:

Hi mate, this size wheel will extend a further 18mm more than the standard GTi wheels, so on coilovers you could have a problem.  Regarding tyres, 225 or 235 35 R19 would be best.

This is a great site if you need more info on offsets etc - http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp

You would need 225 or 235, a bit of poke is fine as the arches have some flare to accommodate that kind of width, you might want to consider a bit of stretch on your tyres though so you dont have to wind the coilies up any
