Anyone got these ? if so how do you rate them as a bloke on ebay is selling them for £66.56 each, bit of a bargain. :happy2:

I have Falken 452's which are a better tyre & paid £70 something fitted.
I think the 912's are an older slightly harder tyre.
-
The 912's are a brand new tyre, but are speed rated only to W rating (168MPH) They are extra load though, so unless you plan on driving over 150MPH often, they should suffice. I'm probably going to try a pair of them next too.

Easy Tiger........
The 912 has been about since 2007 & can be purchased for 13" rims & 'H' rated.
By Falkens admission they can handle a max of 250bhp & are a 'cheaper' option to the 452.
The 452 is their top end tyre.
I had the 912's fitted by mistake by my local bods. The 452's have very good reports hence my my choice to take the plunge.
When I mentioned to them a Bluefin was on its way & 300bhp, they said 'best we swap 'em these kiddies won't handle it'.
I don't get caught up in th tyre wall brand thing, opting for VFM per £ & I have spent a small fortune on tyres in the past in my younger years.
My S-line A4 has had bridgy's & GY assyes on them & going back to h/hatches of years years ago I always threw money at the most expensive rubber I could beleiving them to be the best.
But this is just the opinion of an older chap :signLOL:

i've had falkens in the past, but wasn't too impressed. for a little more i would go for toyo's or if something cheaper and maybe just as good, nankang, kuhmo, cooper, nexens would be worth a try i feel
-
I had a set of 452's on my A4 Sline 2.0 Tdi (mapped to 185 bhp with loads of torque) and the Falkens were excellent for the money. They are very highly rated on the Bmw forums.
-
I have the falken fk452's and like a lot of other highly rate them. For the money they are outstanding. I was also under the impression that the ze912's were the slightly inferior tyre aimed at the more humdrum type or car and the fk's for performace cars.
-
I'll be replacing my fronts for 452's this summer.......
-
i got falkens ze912 tyres with my wheels and have had no problems with them in dry and wet.
Online reviews of these tyres seem to be good :happy2:

I woulddnt necessarily reccomend Nankang NSII;s or the Nexens. In the trade this type of tyre is classed as a ditch finder :driver:. I have 452's at the moment and although they do make more noise than the conti 3's on previously they are still a very capable tyre and i would reccomend then to anyone not able to fork out for more expensive rubber that will perform better.
As for the difference in the 452 & 921, as other have said the 452 is the better, more focused tyre although is seems to have been around for ages. From the 452's i will probably be looking at either Toyo Proxy 4 / T1R or the Yoko Prada spec 2 as they are all in the same price bracket and have roughly the same compound.

I've got the Nankangs (235/35x19) and they were highly recommended to me by a german wheel importer (he's had them on Porsche, BMW etc) and he reckoned they were good as any. I've done a few thousand miles on them and they seem okay to me. My mate has also had them on his MK5 GTI and he was also happy. :happy2: I reckon there's a lot of tyre snobbery out there. :signLOL:
