I know people are very 'marmite' about the tartan cloth seats of the MK5.

Every now and then I have a look on auto trader at mk5 gti's ( by the way) it seems like theres far more leather seated golfs than there were than when I last looked (6 months ish). Dare I say almost the majority of them!

In reality, anyone know how rare leather seats are?
-
The last batch of mk5 gti produced for the UK came with leather as standard. Before this, it was a £1600 option.   :scared:

-
Leather seats in a Mk 5 are rare as hens teeth, because it's plastic leatherette.

Only on the non-contact areas, everywhere else is real leather. I hope anyway!
