I'm in absolute love, came from a 110 PD and a 130 PD MK4 over from UKMKIVS. Traded in and took a MK5 3 Door GTI and I'm the second owner from new.
Very chuffed.
Couple of pictures.

Not looking into any serious Mods as want to stay OEM.
Looking at adding
Cruise
Arm Rest
upgrading CD player to MP3 (Any about, give me a shout?)
Looking for a Drivers side mat as well as needing to clean up the tailpipes which are rusty.
Have a few Q's I need to ask, so will do those in correct sections.
Speak soon.

Good work :happy2:
Enjoying the extra power? :driver:
-
Very much so, it's not as ruthless as the 130PD which was mapped to 164bhp. But the power is a lot more smooth and the GTI exhaust sounds amazing. I took it for a blast around a local industrial park, as it was empty after 6 and I'm still beaming now, I can point it and it'll take me, utterly superb handling compared to my Mk4.
I think along with the Cruise and Armrest, I want to upgrade the brakes as well.
What are the standard size 288mm and if they are, would 312mm fit in my standard wheels with bigger carriers?
-
Nice motor :happy2:
-
Thanks you mate.
-
Welcome :happy2: standard front brakes are 312mm, get some R32 brakes @ 345mm on there :driver:
-
Cheers mate will weigh up cost compared to updated standard disc and pads.

Go for it Huggers! Shadow blue looks amazing in the sunlight, and goes a purpley blue under lights in the dark. :happy2:

I know it's nothing major, but I've just had Awesome fit the cruise for me, and it didn't need the other computer chip bit, so I'm chuffed with that.
It was going to have a major service today, but Awesome somehow didn't do it., and when I came to pay and it wasn't done, I was to eager to get out in the sun so will save the Service for another day!

Well tomorrow is MOT time and Service, once this is done, it'll be going up for sale or swaps.
I backed out of a R32 deal last month, they offered me £6500 for mine, and this R32 was Mk5 at 8k, which I thought was too cheap so I left it.
Thinking about it now, glad I did, TDI is the way!

MOT passed with flying colours, and that's with De Cat.
Had full service done also, and they said Sparks could do with being replaced, so asked him to go ageah with that, and it needed a new CV upfront as other had a small hole in it.
Very happy, once I get it back tonight, I'll be getting a valet, and then can arrange to have some pictures taken and get it up for sale!
