Title: idle problem
Post by: Dario on March 07, 2012, 01:39:09 am
I have a problem with my GTI

on Idle it produces missfire, not all the time ,doesnt idle perfect ,but when driving no problems or missfires

the car is now on original map and OEM sparks, new coil packs ,only modifications are twincooler, twintake, catch can ,milltek TBE and autotech fuel pump

anyome had similiar problems? ,all sensors are check and work properly ,could it possible be the ECU ? at the dealership they told me that the ECU can be faulty without showing on the diagnostics ,something with not keeping the voltage at idle or something like that

You really first need vcds to check which cylinder you're getting the misfire from, then, work from there with troubleshooting the issue.
