Hi, Im intending to get a Sat Nav / DVD / Radio eventually and in the meantime have a tomtom go which has decided not to load any speed cameras despite the download - its on its way out and im thinking might as well wait until it finally packs in and then use that as an excuse to upgrade the radio.
Does anyone have a good speed camera scanner / alert device they would recommend. Something small and inconspicuous and reliable. Ever since I think I got flashed i've felt the need to get something to help alert me. Im not a bad driver nor do I drive at stupid speeds around built up areas and towns but I would be lying if I said I didnt drive at 35 when everyone else is.
Thanks

Pogos are meant to be good. I need to invest.

Camera scanners (or detectors) tend to be unreliable and by the time it's alerted you, it's too late.
Better to use a camera database which will alert you. As above, pogo alerts tend to have a good reputation.

Think it's worth getting a subscription / sim card GPRS version with live updates like the road angel professional?

If you have an iPhone (not sure if it's available on droid etc) then you can get Camera Alert app which uses the Pocket GPS World database.
I find it works very well and if you have a subscription it will give you the latest databse everytime you use it (or it warns you yours is out of date at least).

I think it was Brodit I was looking at before, want something as slim as possible.

Just be careful that isn't a couple of geeks from America sat talking about what's happening as they sit and read Gizmodo
Normally if they are streamed live you get it direct from Apple website but only on Apple devices.

Brodit mounts generally secure behind a bit of trim and they are very good. Try and get one that has a dock and you just plug the cable into when you need it powered.

Mine is normaly powered from HU but good pointer :happy2:

Apparently, fixing IR LED's to your car pointing at your number plate reflects any flash photography. I would also say dont speed. The life you save may be mine.
