Title: midline/highline computer. whats the difference?
Post by: glenn_g60 on March 08, 2012, 03:14:56 pm
Sorry if this is a stupid question, but what is the difference? On my ed30 i got actual mpg, average mpg, journey time, miles done, fuel left in tank. Is this midline setup? On my corrado i get to see oil and water temp, same as i could when i had a mk2 gti which was always good to see. But not on my nice modern golf?!

Mid line is half the lcd is displayed, the highline is the full display, which is really good if you have a sat nav !

Shows all the directions, turning, round abouts all on the display !

I thought it was to do with the display in the dash. With a switch for it on the wiper stalk.

Its dash display, midline is only half dispaly and highline is full height display and yes with RNS NAV it shows directions etc, not sure about wiper stalk as my controls are on steering wheel (MFSW), I imagine for cars without MFSW they are on wiper stalk poss.

You may be getting confused with the steering controller mate, iirc the lowline is the basic model, a midline with accept cruise control retro fitted and the highline will accet cc and a MFSW.

The trip computer also has the same designations as previously mentioned.  With the highline you can access a lot of functions to alter settings etc.....

mine had a lowline but cruise is standard on the SE tdis, my ccm and cecm were also lowline ones
