Hi all...
the tdi's nearing 155,000 now on its original shocks and i thiiiink they're getting a little bit tired... getting nose dive on braking etc...
i'm looking to replace them with OEM shocks again and will be going with Sachs ones from eurocarparts, just wondering if its necessary to replace the springs at the same time too?
will be replacing the shock aborbers front and rear, top mounts on the front with friction bearings along with rubber bump stops and dust sleeves, for the rear will be changing the bearing mounts and dust sleeve kits
anything else that i ought to keep an eye out for?...

With those miles i think i would replace the springs as well :happy2:. They must be past there best now?.

aah well i'd missed that post but mechanics ordered a full set of shocks, front and rear, front and rear mounts/bearings, rubber bump stops all in 191.56 for parts, not too bad! gna be 60quid labour fitting so almost within the 250 i'd budgeted
will take a look at the state of the springs on monday when its in for the change and get the mechanics' opinion on the day, was told springs would be 31 quid-ish per corner for sachs ones
