Title: coil pack replacement.

well I've owned the car for 2 weeks and after reading up on here about the coil pack i gave my local branch a call and yup your car might need a coil pack replacement. went in today and they replaced all 4. bloody love freebies. wonder how much that lot would actually cost at vw.

Yep had mine done, didn't know about the recall when I took it in for oil service, so was good to get some new bits for free  :jumping:

Had mine done a couple of weeks ago and a 60k service, car running sweeeeet :jumpmove:

don't know if its running any better than before but sure is smooth. forgot to tell them not to update my ecu as its got a remap. hope they left it alone!.

Well if you cant tell map from standard there must be summat wrong

had the coil pack replaced not had a new map!. car came with the remap already done. so never driven a standard one and had a 30mph crawl home so couldn't open her up either :(

Coil 3 on mine failed last week, vw couldn't collect me so aa did, vw gave me a free courtesy car while all 4 coils were replaced- sheet they gave me had parts listed as £248.88!!!!!!

that much! wow. so was a good idea to ring up and check then. I'm liking this freebie more and more now
