Hi just bought an Edition 30 and would like to know if there were any recalls, so i can have the car checked to see if they have been carried out. cheers
-
I don't recall anything on the ED30 but best bet is to phone your local dealer and quote the numberplate and they will easily check for you
-
Is that the easiest way to check?, have to book it in for a service so can do it all in one hit.
-
Coil-packs need checking to see if they have or need replacing. :happy2:

Is it DSG? If it is, I would also ask if the mechatronics unit (one of the main components of DSG) has been replaced under warranty.
It wasnt part of a recall or anything put peace of mind for you if it has or something to keep an eye on if it hasnt.

This issue is less common on an 07 plate.... 57-08 were more commonly known to have issues.
If the car has no issues with selecting 1st or reverse gear currently, then I doubt you'll get a problem. Ones that have been fitted now to cars over a few years now, have little or no issues, most were caught in warranty.
coil pack recall I think was the main, lift the boot carpet and see if there's a sticker saying a 4 digit number of some sorts .. If not nip down to your dealer and they will run a chassis number check for recalls etc.

Its manual, so no DSG issues, will have to check the coilpacks have been done, cheers guys
