A mate of mine has just informed me that there are traffic police running around the area in a minging P reg Vauxhall Cavalier or Vectra.

It's burgundy in colour, and he has seen two people pulled by it.

I've seen round in Thurrock  an old vauxhall omega with roof bars on pulling people when they've had the anpr cameras out along with the usual unmarked vrs octavia and BMW 3, 5 and 7 series and unmarked bikes

i think i'd be a bit dubious to pull over for an old car with blue's going unless i was in a very public place, iirc youre allowed to continue to a public place if this happens to you with something unmarked anyway?

Years old scam - ebay lights on a beater car pulls over nice car in layby, nice car forced from owner and driven off.

Fair comment, but I'll keep an eye out for it anyway, and drive to a public area if pulled. Good advice.  :happy2:

I'll ask my mate if he saw the busy's out of the car, and if they looked legit.

I saw a shonky looking unmarked Vectra in St Helens yesterday.  Little bit newer than above but at 57 still a little old for the old bill I would think.
