Title: Fitting Sachs Clutch - Which way round?? URGENT
Post by: Ce0u1162 on March 10, 2012, 01:30:44 pm
The mechanic that is doing my clutch has informed that there are no orientation marks on the clutch as to which way it should be fitted, he mentioned about the high side to the flywheel? I havent got a clue how they are fitted, can anyone shed any light on which way round?? thanks

PHONE UP DEALERS , TELL THEM YOU WANT TO SPEAK TO THE MECHANIC AND ASK!

No don't as the sachs clutch is different. Ed@APS was telling me... It's best to speak to them and get some advice, if you pm Ed on here he might get an email through on his phone and get back to you... Unless someone who has fitted one can help...

Basically Ed was telling me that people fitted them as they expected a normal clutch to go in, but this is wrong, it's actually the otherway roudn or something... Is there no markings?

I had the same problem when fitting mine! Was a nightmare! My mate found out which way in the end! There's no indication on the plate as to which way it should go :scared:

Well he fitted it high side to the flywheel I think and it has worked, dont have any problems with gear selection.  I'll find out exactly how he did it and post it on here so people who search can see for themselves....
