on a mk5 2.0 tdi...when should this be replaced?

so a car with 99k miles on should of had it done?

Not necessarily as the onus is on the owner to agree for the work to be done if the dealer informed him/her that it's recommended at the time.

If you have no written proof of a belt change get it done, its better to spend £300 for piece of mind than pay £1000+ on a head rebuild if it breaks
