Title: Cycle Lights ? Which one ?

Anyone got any reccomendations ?

Only after a front one but rear reccomendations too please

Budget is about £150 for front

Get yourself a LED Lenser T7 and a cycle mount for it and pocket £100.

Is it for night riding in the woods ect or just being seen out on the roads ect? If its road ridding ext go for the exposure flash and flair kit comes with charger ect i just paid £75 full the full kit from evans cycles awsome lights realy realy bright like you wouldnt believe and fully water proof, or if its riding off road go look at the other exposure range me myself im going for a diablo its about £200 but it is an awsome piece if kit! Had one on demo in the winter before xmas! Exposure all the way imo one of if not the best if not the best lights for bikes...

Apparently its waterprood to 1m for 10 minutes. But possibly long duration cycling in heavy rain might cause some problems after a while.

Cateye front and rear set would be plenty if your just riding on the road to and from work but if your gonna use them for proper night riding through forests etc then you definitely need some proper ones with handlebar and helmet mounted ones for maximum visibility  :happy2:

Kinda depends on your range and journey time as to how much battery life you need too which effects price too

Checking out a copy of MBR or which mountain bike should have group tests covering all types of needs for lights and gear

You could always buy a nice LED Flashlight with a cycle mount! Then you got a super duper flashlight too  :happy2:

(I can vouch that the XM-L T6 LED's are awesome)  :wink:

I've got Exposure on my Trek. Maxx D on the bike and joystick on the helmet, nearly £500 the pair, but have been faultless in the past year or so, and it's like cycling in daylight when off road at night. I know it's miles more than ou want to spend, but just my two penny worth.

Exposure have got some exciting things planned for the near future as well :happy2:

I've just bought an Exposure Joystick Mk6 from Evans for roughly £120 and I'm very impressed with it.  It's very well made, weighs cock all and there's no battery to lug about.
Used it in the Peak District one evening this week and it lit up half the hillside!
