So with financial issues forcing the sale of my golf :sad1: (will be advertised when i hit 25 posts) , I ask what would you recomend next? looking at a smaller option, thought of lupos or fox's? May be even a Mini, any sugguestions ??

Sorry to hear it bud.

Shame to hear about your forced sale, never a good thing  :sad1:
Lupo GTi gets my vote, if i wasnt 6ft 3 i would already own one  superb little cars, good residuals too
the fox is a waste of metal and would only disappoint you, you'd be wiser buying a polo  :happy2:

Had a fox as a loan car once - absolute rubbish.
Polo gets my vote.

What sort of money are you looking to spend on a replacement?
I'd look at:
polo 1.9 tdi sports - 100bhp quite quick, 50+ mpg and cheap tax. Circa £2500 - £4000
Ibiza sport/fr 1.9 tdi - 130 bhp as above really - £2000 - £5000
Fabia VRS 1.9 tdi - 130 bhp "                  " £3000 onwards
Diesels arent everyone's cup of tea but for the money, you're getting a nippy, cheap to run little car with any of the above
 :happy2:

Lupo GTi :happy2: I have a seriously big soft spot for them after ultimate dubs. Even gonna talk my lil brother into getting one for his first car
Or
Polo GTi mk5 (I think) the one with the 1.8T engine
Or
Clio Sport 197's are going cheap now, I had one for a few months and I couldn't fault it :happy2: (I'm now off to hide behind the sofa) :popcornsoda:

From a golf to a fox  :surprised: . that would be a regretable change.
If you are looking into R53 Mini's, they always require work doing & parts replacements.
Polo or Ibiza

I like the sound of lupo GTI's , but think there slightly out of budget, the budget would be 2-3 K roughly .. diesel may be the way forward
