Can we not have anything nice, had a phone call from the mrs tonight in floods of tears. After trying to calm her down, i finally got out of her that the Leon that we have only just collected from her dad has been keyed    This car was absolutely immaculate, its the first nice decent car that sam has had, now this happens.
Scratch runs pretty much 3/4 of the drivers door and is really deep, i know im looking at a paintjob, but will i get away with the door and small part of the rear door to colour match? Its lunar grey so a pig to match. Feel guilty myself as i asked her to park in an end spot away from others to stop the spot dents. Hoping to find CCTV when she goes in tomorrow.

Had sam asking me not to buy her anything nice as it only gets damaged. Why should we give up something nice, just because some dole scum is jealous.
Sorry guys, rant over, best run the mrs a bath and make her tea :signLOL:

Our society Will not reach a higher plane until the people who do things like this are put in a sack and chucked in the canal or other deep watery pit. Its the only way, reasoning with these people does not work and never will.
Feel for you both, don't let it get you down.
-
i feel for you 2 scum that do stuff like that need a rite good kickin :fighting:
-
Absolute scum. Whoever did it wants a shoeing!
I feel really sorry for your mrs', it obviously meant a lot to her having an immaculate car (not that it's not something to get upset about anyway)
Hope you get it sorted :sad1:
-
Utter Cnuts. I hope they get there heads squashed by a HGV. :fighting: :fighting:
Hope you get it sorted and remind your mrs the main thing is she is ok. :happy2:

Nice solution.. :happy2:
Hope your Mrs has calmed down Frodo, there's some real nasty sick people around. :stupid:
-
Gutting mate. No one should have to put up with this. Chucking them in a canal might be a bit ott but definitely doing the muslim thing of chopping their hands off would be far more effective as a deterrent.
-
Been there mate , too many green eyed folk out there....
Hopefully get some luck with the CCTV
-
The joys of working in bradford city centre, extra set of locking wheel nuts also going on!
She's more upset for the fact she feels she let her dad down, as he has been very kind with the terms for the leon to ensure he gives us a good start in life, as he put it.
Well it will be getting sorted next week, bodyshop on saturday.
-
i know how she must feel mate iv had it done in the past, tell her to keep her chin up and get it repaired.
its so frustrating because of the cost, hassle, who and why they did it. Hope the cctv helps you find the low life
Brett

Thats awful fella!! :fighting: :fighting:
Lets just all hope that one day one of us catches some little scrote doing this and we can finally hand out some proper justice!! :fighting: :angry015:

I had a Toledo v5 170Bhp in 2005 and it got keyed less than three days after i bought it.
It would be fair to say i was not happy especially as it happened in a secure car park with CCV which conveniently wasn't working at the time

Tbh I used to live in Wibsey in Bradford. I loved it in Wibsey but I was really glad to see the back of Bradford. I found that I was slowly starting to hate the place and all it's crime.
I was there 8 years and I went for a night out in the city centre twice.
Found it better to spend an extra £60 on taxi's and large it up in Leeds!
All hail LEEDS :notworthy:
We had a Mitsubishi FTO in the year 2000 when we moved in. The insurance was about £800 when we lived in a little village outside Sherburn-in-Elmet. We had to sell the car when we were getting quotes around £3-4000 :surprised:
One quote was £7000. :stupid:
Numerous break-ins to the garage, work van,car and house, as well as probably 4 cars keyed.
My garage was my motorbike showroom, and like Fort Knox, but it didn't stop all the break-in attempts.
Much happier now in a sleepy suburb again. Lincoln this time though.
I feel for you mate and your missis in everyway!
The dick-eds probably don't even realise all the work involved in the repair, from their 5sec fit of jealousy.
(or maybe they do).
Hope you get things sorted soon.... :happy2:
-
agreed, i do feel for those of you that live in the urban
nice a peaceful down here on the the cornish coast, never any real drama's

hope you get it sorted soon buddy :happy2:
-
Sorry to hear this mate. Hope your missus is feeling better.
My A3 got keyed after a couple of months of owning it. Some bar steward scratched "BKD" into my bonnet, which I can only assume was their initials. Parked in CCTV area too, and they claimed nobody had been near my car :stupid:
If I ever find them I will use my teachings in anatomy and pharmacology to do very bad things to them.
-
Really sorry for you , my heart dropped when I saw the post. What sh*ts. :fighting: Shame for you and Sam, Gutted.
Hope its not too hard to get sorted though.
-
Really feel for you and anyone who has had this happen
My last car (passat 1.8T) got done 3x times
current car has a long one all down the side

Never had any issues at home as i live 8 miles away from the city centre, however sam works in town. I totally agree about starting to hate the place, i cant remember the last time i went on a night out in bradford, its not safe to do so :signLOL:
-
That is well sucky. Hopefully with all the cameras that are going on cars these days they will soon be self CCTV ing. That and a biometric interface into Facebook photos and the car should be able to text you and the police the footage, who they are, and what pub they will be in later ....
-
Gutted for you both it is a shame that you can't connect the car to 240volts when its parked up.
-
You rant away mate, just some w**ker with no job/future jealous of the car.
f*cking assholes deserve to be strung up by there genitals and have boiling hot oil shoved up there arse! :fighting:
Most eloquently put there sir!
-
Gutting mate it really is, feel for you :(
When i first got my BBS on my old Polo, 3 weeks to the day later i was driving home from college when my drivers side front wheel fell off leaving the car park, i got the 'security' to check cctv and it showed 3 lads in a transit recovery truck pull up next to my car and stand there for a good 10 mins trying to get my locking nut off, they failed and left the wheel with just the locking nut in and the other 3 bolts missing.
I managed to get the college bodyshop teacher to fit and paint a new wing and repair the door at the expense of the college though due to the security not noticing for 10 mins what was going on.
-
Gutted for you mate and every one else who has had this happen. the problem with the youth of today is they have no repect for people and there property. I had this done 2 weeks go around 20 inchs down the door and 10 inchs down the wing  I came out the wash the car and it was there no idea when it was done but it's really disheartening and I was thinking why do I bother, but I pick up my hose and got cracking with washing the motor I will not let it get to me :happy2: and getting it booked in next month at the tune of £200.
chin up lads
-
Feel for you mate ,somebody dinted my car last week as i couldn't park on the drive due to getting my house roof renewed , was at the end of the drive one night and i opened the curtains the next morning to go to work i saw the scuff marks and a crease in the door where it looked like it had been kicked. Was devestated and felt sick with rage. had just cleaned it that weekend too and it was immaculate. Some people just have no value of things that others cherish and work hard for. hope you get it sorted and dont let it get you down too much
-
Bodyshop quote this morning, £200 + vat, will have to be blown into the rear door and the front wing, so that it doesnt 'look sh**e' were the guys words :signLOL:
They do all the main dealer work close to me, so fingers crossed.
-
One bloody 3second scratch resulting in all that bloody work :fighting:
Sorry makes me mad everytime I read threads like this!
One handy piece of advice....
A Indy garage owner told me that for all those types of repairs to paint he uses a local detailing company.
He said that the quotes are very competitive, and that if there are any tiny little blemishes to the repaint or any overspray that has been missed they are worked on by the detailer (maybe at a later date, but still)
...I thought it was a good idea, providing you can find such a detailer in west yorks :happy2:
-
I feel for u mate I had my car done twice complete passenger side keyed got it repaired a week later happened again but caught the chavy little scum who dun it called the police as most of the street was done police let him go so was well :fighting: angry so on a later date caught him on the street and gave him a good beating

Cheers Carlo,
The only one that springs to mind is Jay@miglior, but he's over the wrong side of the border.
-
this really winds me up....
200 isnt too bad a price though
-
I say OFF with their BLOODY fingers
-
gutted for you. never had a car keyed but had one broken into (got nothing) and another reversed into with no details left (headlamp, grille, bonnet, bumper.....)
it seems nobody has any respect anymore :sad1:
