just a noisey engine people say that the mk5's are noisey anyway, but when i start it up in the morning it sounded nice but as soon has the car warmed up it sounded nasty, mechanic said i was just being picky, my friends sounds the same but i got the work done and now the car sounds gorgeous,

@Mato
Its good to hear you got the noise on your car sorted
I am having exactly the same problem on my golf Mk5 GTI
Can you send me the OEM part number for the camshaft adjuster kit? I presume this is different to the timing belt tensioner?
i might need to get mine replaced too
Thanks
