how do the athlon chips rate to a pentium equivalent?

They run hotter. Other than that don't know specifics. Go Core iX if you can.

thats my thoughts. Ive been looking at the i5 core jobbies, but in all honesty that means nothing to me
What would be quicker though
an i5-2400S (2.50GHz, 6MB)
or i3-2100 (3.10GHz, 3MB Cache, DC)
I always used ot look at PCs based on the ram and processor speed. Well out of speed on all of these new processors. Might nee to buy a computer mag and do a little research on this one

Check the Dell has a video out if you want to link it to an extra monitor, mine didnt have one which is a complete pain.

If i go for a normal desktop ill defintiely ask for the dual monitor as it makesmy work much easier. But with the All in ones the screens are pretty large so i can just split the window when im working
