There was a millage change thread about but now I can't find it. What was the outcome on if you can check for it or not? Mine is a 08 DSG. Can a dealer pull the DSG miles from the DSG ECU ? Got mine just before it's first MOT and the last service doesn't have a millage with it and that didn't seem a problem at the time but now it kind of rings the alarm bells. A VW service was done at 26,000 a year ago and it's on 45,000 now so in theory the owner that year shouldn't have been able to do too much stellar millage (I hope).
Can VCDs check ?

oh well I'm after a yes you can check or no you can't, hopefully that's not straying into the murky would of how do I do it which I assume was the demise of the other thread.

I had my mk4 anni ecu mileage read and it gave a genuine figure, sure this would be the same with the mk5

Have you had a look on the direct.gov website? Might be on there.

Only if the ECU supports it.
