Title: Headlights
Post by: bakili on March 17, 2012, 12:05:50 pm
Hey guys, I am after GTI darker headlights. Managed to find brand new set for under £100  :jumpmove: (subject to seller confirming if genuine or aftermarket).
Also seller says that it comes without bulbs and MOTOR. No issues being without bulbs, but motor not sure what does it mean?
I have chrome lights, will it be possible to take motor out from chrome lights and fit to GTI headlight?

Thanks

I assume that's the levelling motor and you can change it from the chrome lights but that's just a guess.

I am hoping it is leveling motor too, is it hard to change or swap motor?

Cheers

I would expect it's pretty easy.

I paid £50 for a used pair of GTi headlights (genuine) with everything included!

IMO I don't think that they will be new and genuine for under £100 mate, probably Depo or some other copy.  Get the seller to send you a picture of the dipped beam shroud, on a genuine part it is a VW logo, on Hella copies a lattice design, and on Depo and others just a nasty metal cover!

£50 for pair  :surprised:
Spoke to seller and he confirmed it is Depo  :sad1:
There are set on ebay genuine and seller wants £100, but refuses to post, collection only, nearly 4 hr away from me  :sad1:
Depo made lights, are they really bad??
