Title: Fitting bonnet notch for badgeless grill

What's the best product to use to attach the bonnet notch?

I don't want to use something that will never come off, just in case I don't like it or go back the the badge grill.

throw it in the bin.

get the notch welded, a few slams of the bonnet will see that notch either fall out of crease paintwork otherwise.

fyi the bottom edge of most car doors have a seam weld that matches nicely the edge of a VW bonnet, so a small section of that cut out and welded in will look factory  :happy2: means a bonnet spray but the effect is perfect that way

 :grin: that's a little too permanent, I'm not 100% sure I'm going to keep the grill, also it might affect the resale value. Although im probably just being stupid about it.

i'm of the "go big or go home" mentality though  :innocent:

i'll see if i can find the shot of the bonnet i had done with this method on my MK4...

short term fix - 3M Double sided Scotch tape... the thick tape not the the thin one..
