Title: Clutch and Flywheel options 2.0 TDi
Post by: flipmyflipper on March 20, 2012, 04:51:09 pm
Dropped my 2.0 TDi golf off at VW yesterday to get the abs/esp fault diagnosed and sorted. Turns out it was the osr wheel bearing that was causing the problem and they replaced it, all good so I thought.
Now on the way to the garage the engine nearly cut out and a 'visit workshop' flashed up on the dash, good job I was on my way there!! I asked them if they could have a look at that as well and it turns out that the crank sensor and flywheel are shot :(
It would be daft not to do the clutch so I am looking kits for both. As already mentioned it is a 2.0 TDi and is remapped to 175-180bhp.
Sachs duel mass flywheel and clutch kits start around £440. Has anyone on here had any experiences with these or can recommend any others please?

Very interested to know what info comes up on here. I've a 2.0 TDi also which is remapped to 180+ bhp. No signs of slip or wear yet but in the event of th inevitable I'd like to know what other folks have used.  :popcornsoda:

I recently took advantage of GB and bought DMF, clutch and cover plate for my GT 140 BKD engine code for £710
Part numbers are:

Organic performance Clutch Disc (LUK Flywheel)  part number: 881864 999529
Sachs Upgraded Clutch Cover Torque rating: 400lbs.ft  part number: 883082001394
Dual Mass Flywheel (LUK) part number: 415 0269 10

The sachs clutch was matched to the LUK flywheel.

Not fitted yet as clutch still fine after recent shark remap.
