Title: MK5 Interior Removal
Post by: M3rk on March 20, 2012, 05:37:35 pm

Hi Guys,

I've got a 2007 '56' GT TDi 170 golf - has the standard cloth GT interior trim.

Have bought and have sat waiting a full leather interior from a GTi ... someone has advised me that it is not a straight swap as the plugs are different? Can anyone confirm this please and if so, advise what the part number or plug i require will be.

I've tried the search function but only finding info on the rear bench removal.

Thanks,

Mark

Any ideas??

Also just looked at the leather interior I bought and it has heated seat elements and the electric lumbar support option, my gt tdi didn't have either of these options, so will I still be able to fit them and wire them up so the airbags will work but nothing else?

If not, I will just sell the interior on eBay..

Thanks in advance for any help/advice

The plugs can be different but it will depend on the age of the seats and the car IIRC

Thanks for the reply Steve,

Seats are from a 2004 model, my golf is a 56 plate

The plugs can be changed, some VW approved places are able to do it, should not be more than 30 minutes work.
But don't see any reason why they won't work.
