Title: side moulding removal

hi all as title does anyone know how to remover the side mouldings on a 3dr mk5 golf please

If you mean the door rub strips you could use the same method I use for debadging. Fishing line tied between 2 pens or similar then run it down the back of the moulding in a sawing motion like a cheese wire. Then use some tar and glue remover to remove the backing tape.

This will work if they are only stuck on and not held on with clips. I would wait for someone else to confirm that.  :happy2:

Yep fishing line or credit card.

Be warned though. Once they're off, they're off. Will need super super tape or super glue lol

Do there aren't any clips or fixing screws then just the adhesive

Just adhesive. But have little bits raised that slot into holes in the doors + 1/4 panels. Use a spreader/ card. Its probably easier to buy new ones to fit back on rather than spending all the time cleaning glue off the old ones and sticking back on. They never sit nicely after as tape is normally too thick compared to the standard adhesive.
