After sound proofing under bonnet, boot area and maybe parts of the cabin, my question is which sound proofing to use? Any pointers in the right direction will be great, cheers. :happy2:

Whats the end goal?

Dynamat?

brown bread is cheaper than dynomat although dynomat spray is better if you only want a thin layer...messy though
all weighs a tonne mind

Iv just done my whole with something.from.ebay works a treat and sticks brilliantly.. ill dig the item.code out. i only bought one pack which i thinkwas just about enough for a boot but plan to buy another to.do the roof and floor and it was a lot cheaper than dynomat.
it was a foam like insulation rather than some.of the foil type ones if that helps and has provides some.heat insulation for the winter

To reduce noise! But honestly, am hoping to reduce tyre/road noise, engine bay/engine noise etc. Not sure if I mean sound proofing or sound deadening.

Is it that noisy? What tyres are you running?

No it's not that noisy really, have seen a few items/posts re soundproofing and/or deadening and wanted to give it a go, oh and all 4 tyres are month old Goodyear F1's (not bad for road noise as it goes) :happy2:

Would also be interested in the ebay link to the foam stuff. I have had the larger front tray (splash guard under the engine bay) changed which helped a tiny bit but noticed since having Avon ZV5s rather than Goodyear F1s, it made a quite a big difference.

.
Please don't think that I'm saying you shouldn't do this but soundproofing your car to the extent you are discussing is something I am having great difficulty understanding because I would want to do the exact opposite - I want to remove soundproofing!
Don't you at least prefer to hear what your engine revs are doing? Isn't doing so a real driving aid? Oh how I hate soft caccooned cars in which the driver's senses are detached from the vehicle being driven.
But each to their own of course.
