i have acquired a K04 turbo kit but want to know details on what is needed for the conversion, It seems pretty much straight forward other then the diverter relocation, What is needed for that? Is there anything else that needs modifiying for it to fit?
Also will my current ITG intake and Decat (3") fit directly with it?
Thanks

You need a DV relocate which really only consists of an intake tube and DV adapter. They are pretty straight forward installs. You also need injectors and depending on the remap you may also need a hpfp upgrade or the intake cam with the proper fuel lobe on it. As long as everything else is in place (intake, turbo outlet has larger out port, and DP) you should be good to go from there.

So did you get the exhaust mani with it? You may need to track down gaskets, nuts, etc. as well. Cooling lines may be reused I believe, but check on that as my conversion was quite some time ago. I'll keep checking this thread to answer if you have more questions, OK?

Thanks for that ROH, But those diverter relocations seem a little too much, Is there not a OEM way of doing it?

Just get the ed30/S3 oem relocated dv set up and you'll be good to go.

I got quoted £500 to do this with OEM parts . Wanted to do it on a K03 along with replacing my diaphragm DV with a Forge one (for easier access as I'm led to believe the Forge DV is a serviceable part)

If you have access to the S3/ed30 forward part even better..but either way, yes, you need a dv relocate whether it's oem or a/m.
-
Anyone have part numbers recquired to do the OEM S3 relocation?

Perfect writeup, What i was looking for but confused about the custom maf housing i dont need that do i because i have a ITG kit and also I am confused about custom wiring harness where do i get that from? Doesnt seem to have a part number?
-
I have found this write up, Seems uselful but im not sure about the MAF housing thing as i have a intake so i dont know how that would work?
But there is something in the writeup that says you can pull up the wire all the way to the front of the engine which i am not understanding.

Haven't heard that you can do that. The awe relocate is attached at the intake to turbo connection so wiring not needed. But if you use a vacuum dv and not the oem dv then you won't need the wiring to extend to the front/throttle inlet.

Right i now have the k04 turbo with few parts, I have found a huge shopping list for the conversion 25 parts+!
Can anyone confirm i need every single part from this pic and also when i relocate the diverter to the front do i need to put a blanking plate on the turbo?

You won't need a blanking plate if you install the k04.

So what is the exact procedure for diverter relocating, I need to know parts specific

Maybe this will help;

BSH has a forward relocate up where the T/B is, but if you relocate there and wish to use the oem DV you will need a wire extension. There must be some options available there from some local tuners.
