Hi just a quick question if anyone could point in the right direction.
Scanned mvb12's car for him yesterday to clear the air bag light he induced by taking the cable out when changing to a new radio/nav. I scanned the car and found a few small code errors such as the gps not being 'coded' etc etc and saved a log and then cleared all code errors. waited to finished, took vagcom out and started the car which it did (phew - always a nervous moment) but the air bag light is still on. I advised double checking everything was plugged back properly because I know the clips can be quite stiff. The other thing that makes me think it hasn't been put back properly is I went to turn the air bag off in the glovebox and the "Airbag off" sign under the hazard light button didn't illuminate.
Any ideas?

First port of call would be to check it was all put back together properly and the connections are together properly.

i shall check this today and revert.

also in order for the gps/rns 510 to be 'coded' you must set a workshop code/id in your vagcom tool :happy2:

so after work i got stragith to work on the bugger, pushes the plug right up itself anf the light on the centre console is now on. so i just the connection was missing last time round?
