Title: R tech map
Post by: Sammy on March 24, 2012, 09:32:42 pm
Just got back from a day at r tech, took my mates gti for a custom remap, the results where amazing, straight after you can feel a really strong and smooth pull all the way up to the redline, before map it just didnt pull enough and post map the car flew to 150mph and had lots more left over,
Recommend r tech highly, cant wait to take my stage 2+ gti after the k04 conversion for the stage 3 custom  :party:

Thanks Nick for a brilliant job!  :happy2:

I did have a major moan about this.....lol   :evilgrin: :laugh:

It took 6 power runs for the ecu to adapt to the 95 fuel,  first few runs where seeing -4cf / -6cf / -8cf and pulling the load out due to the corrections and was only making 230-234bhp,  but after the few run the timing adaption found its happy medium with 0cf and managed to to a full load run of 247bhp which shocked me... just from a cat back and ITG induction kit.

@Sammy

I am glad your happy with the results and the service we provided,  I look forward to doing the Stage2 HPFP k04 setup.. :happy2:

Thank you for your feedback and custom.

Nick

LOL,  you might be better off running 100%?  We have been testing it on a AUQ Leon 1.8T k03s and the results are awesome!!! 249.7bhp 293lbft with meth hitting the AIT sensor which  took the AIT readings to 9deg which triggered the ecu to add 7deg+ of timing advance , switch meth off AIT reading 30-40deg the car LOST 28lbft 15bhp.   I will be running it neat in my cars this summer.

The R32 brakes have now gone.... you should have see the arse end of the car slammed with all the weight from thr brakes and 5 young lads crammed in the car..lol
