I know this has been done to death but I was thinking about a way of making is as objective as possible - everyone uses mpg but some calculate it, others from the DIS which is inaccurate. Both of those have errors in.
So I was thinking instead we go on miles per tank (followed by a calculated mpg if you wish). What's your highest? Only one rule - has to be a 2.0TFSI. No soot chuckers coming to spoil the party! Here's a template:

Make: Audi
Model: 2006 A3 2.0T S-Line DSG
State of tune: standard
Record miles per tank: 360mi (29.8mpg) - but on my current tank I've done 332mi and not even hit the reserve so probs gonna beat it soon
400mi (33.1mpg). To put that in perspective the best I ever got from my old 2005 A3 1.6MPI was 440mi from the same size tank on an economy run. So 400mi is pretty impressive considering this car has twice the power

Record MPG for a trip was last Friday. 12 miles and 55.2mpg. Stuck in traffic on country roads with a load of 30, 40 and national speed limit sections rarely getting above 55mph
Excuse the dust, it has since been cleaned :happy2:

I'm sure not everybody waits til they're running on fumes before refilling. My 440 miles was until the light came on, not empty. If i recall correctly there is still over a gallon left when the light comes on
-
Still 7 litres left when light comes on apparently...
-
I went to London at the weekend from Liverpool, sat at 60 all the way on cruise, did 38mpg on the DIS. Did 190 mile to the first quarter, if I'd of carried on the way I was going I would of been on for easy 450 miles! Shame it got its head kicked in all the way home. They can be economical when you try!

382 miles. London n back to sheffield. Then to work 3 days after. Stage 2+

Depends what mood your car is in, or at least that's the case with my car - 25 miles on range, and it ran out of fuel! :rolleye:
Germans have a strange sense of humour?

Make: Golf
Model: 07 ED30 DSG
State of tune: standard
Record miles to a tank: 303 miles as the light came on, 27.3mpg (roadtrip app)
I keep record of all my miles and costs using the road trip app. Over the last 1584 miles i have averaged 25.58mpg. I only do short journeys, infact the car has been sat in the garage for the last 3 weeks, as ive been using the mrs' other car :signLOL:

Well that didn't go well :signLOL:

Make: Golf
Model: Edition 30
Statebof tune: STD
Colour: Tornado Red (helps it go faster and better fuel economy!)
Record tank: 370 miles with a brimmed tank. Sussex to Norfolk, there and back and a bit more! 95% of that was dual carriageway of motorway driving at around 70-75mph (honest officer). Can't remember the mpg but must have been 30ish. Worst economy was the day I bought it! I bloody leathered it all day, my brother in law leathered it, 2 friends leathered it, had to fill up the next day, got something like 16-18mpg. :signLOL:
