Good conversion, but the wheels do spoil it imo, Audi ones aren't they?
There are some black coded sideskirts on ebay for about £95 that would look great on the sides of that.

Look forward to seeing your updates, and flattered that you would say that mine is inspiration  :notworthy:

Should go straight in, Thought be careful as new MOT regs mean that you have to be able to get in and out easily in the back in case of an accident. May struggle due to the tilt and slide missing off a 5 door set

little update after saving up and then being let down on the leather interior i decided on some new wheels. I know these have been done loads and people say over done but i like them............. sourced a set of Bentley wheels which were chorme and needing a re furb. plan was i was going to paint them but for a sec i've clean them up and sort of like the chorme look so leaving as is for a bit.

Anyway see what you think spec is 19" with a 215 35 19 tyre on so plenty of stretch. sorry about pics but was taken last night just before dark. All comments welcome.

How wide are the alloys? 9.5?
Wheels look great, though not too keen on that level of stretch. :happy2:

Thanks Big al.....comments always welcome, i know what you mean but have to go with that stretch as 225 would rub. they are 9's  i think offset is 43 or 41

Hmm, I think your Audi wheels suited your Golf much much much better and I hate those Bentleys on any car other than a real Bentley. Bentley Bling, IMO. Sorreeee!

Nice start.

Think you've made a brave choice with the bentleys, they're notoriously difficult to get the fit/look right. You got any shots from either front or rear down the side of the car, give an idea of how much they poke

superted74 this is the only pic i have of poke at the mo, its the rear will take some more soon, no real issues with rubbing just on the front when u corner hard.

The wheels look good from side on, but i must be getting old, surely having that amount of stretch on a heavy wheel cant be safe.  Does your insurance company know you have the wrong tyres on.  :happy2:

oooo hand bags. :scared: Whats the prob..... there Nankang actually. i'm an estate agent so only drive around my town. not high speed. My mate had an audi with them same tyres set up etc and had no probs for 2 years. Yep thanks for the concern but insurance is aware of every mod.

I don't know too much of the technicalities of tyre stretch but those wheels do look good!

They don't poke much at all. Bit of camber will bring em right in if it starts to bug you

well.....haven't been on here for a while due to getting married, honeymoon etc but have now got sideskirts on not body coloured yet and tbh not sure if i like umm. Also having the r32 front bumper fully smoothed and thinking about getting the grille sprayed black too......pics will follow soon :happy2:

I like the idea of spraying a Mk5 R32 grille black but dare I say I absolutely detest those Bentleys on any Golf. A Golf is too small a car to carry it off, IMO.

that's twice you've said you hate my wheels on my thread, i get the picture!! lol...............thanks for your comment on the grille, i'm thinking it might turn out ok if not can always spray it silver again

Oh gosh! I'm really sorry to have mentioned it twice - I honestly had forgotten. It doesn't matter what I think anyway - All that matters is that you like them  :happy2:

Dial in all the available neg camber on the rears and get the front arches rolled ever so slightly (backs at the same time actually to get symmetry), get some 225 section tyres on and jobs a good 'un.

Well that's what I'd do/recommend. Could go as far as getting some front strut adjustable camber mounts but they are pricey. Failing that like you mentioned, dump the hell out of it on bags!!!

I think the bentley rollers look good as this is more about show than go which I think people are missing slightly as this forum favours speed over polishing. Everyone has his/her vision of what a car should be like based on their own, makes it 10x worse when we all have golfs or similar

Very nice! Interlagos cloth is very durable and very 'GTI'. Having leather side bolsters is a bonus.

[At last I found something nice to say about your car and didn't mention Bentley wheels]
