Post by: gillm on May 08, 2009, 07:13:05 pm: hi guys thought i better join up . got a mk5 gti had it from new in 05 . and not done anything to it in 3 years :( lazy lol

spec is

red 3dr
revo stage 2
turbo back miltek
neuspeed p-flow
19" bbs ch2s
r32 rear lights
eibach springs

thinking of doing a few more bits to include

anti lift kit
coilovers
r32 brakes

. also have a mk1 2l 16v track car

Post by: gillm on May 08, 2009, 07:28:13 pm: cheers guys the mk1 is engineless at the mo (again) spat a rod and wrecked a very good new engine , a tad gutted ! a new one is going in for the summers track days and im going to build another 16v for next year . already have a allstage head and newman 272/272 cams /omex 600 / and throttle bodies . got a block and other bits just need to get round to building it .

btw folks, it was Martin that made me buy a GTI! Was tempted with the Astra VXR but he put some sense into me lol.

so given up on the M3 idea already, and carry on modding the Golf? :grin:

Post by: gillm on May 11, 2009, 06:32:32 pm: the csl would have been cool but i just can't seem to bring myself to parting with the golf . makes me smile most days , plus the misses wont be able to insure the m3 . so its save my money and spunk it on the other cars i already have . plus im tempted in building a mk2 .
