I'm getting the latest version of the RNS510 supplied & fitted by Eddie-NL and Golfman.
I'm away to buy an SD card to store music on but was just interested if anyone knew of any compatability issues?
It just I'm sure some cameras only accept certain cards. Would there be any issue if I just bought a cheap 32gb card from eBay?
Thanks in advance

Unfortunately you will have issues,
RNS510 is a wonderful bit of kit but it does lack in some areas (or should i say its restrictive?)
It took me a while to get my head round the SD card files and why my larger sized card where not working:
I use a 2GB card - it has to be FAT formatted on your PC first.
I believe HDSC cards need to be FAT32 formatted, but I am not sure if they will work on the revision B unit or not. (this will not bother you as you have a new unit getting installed).
I tunes music format does not work so I convert all my files to MP3. Best way to convert is to right click on the album in i-tunes and convert to MP3. You then need to drag and drop the MP3 file off your "My Music" folder onto the SD card. Takes a bit of time to do, but it is worth it.
I don't think video works at all off the SD card, only directly from the built in DVD drive.
Hope this helps.

32gb SDHC card in mine and works like a charm. Was a cheap ebay job, £17 i think!

Use that to format. Incredibly easy to do

Now just gotta count down the days till I get the RNS!

Don’t know if you have bought the SD card yet but look out for the read/write speed. Class 2 being slow and class 10 being the fastest. This one is not bad for the price and is what I use, but mine is a version C. :happy2:

It's probably possible by a software guru who can write media player eg. windows media player and the like into the rns, shame no ones done it yet.
