Title: Hello!!!! New GTI owner here from Sheffield :)

Yo! My name is Lee im from Rotherham (near Sheffield)
Just got myself a GTI and I'm absolutely loving it. The best car I've driven so far, the handeling feels so nice.
:D love the power of the TFSI engine! Although it is thirsty. Nearly as fast as my mk2 golf 1.8t. But 100 % refined.

I got the red GTi, had it 7 days today. It was already clean when I got it but I couldn't resist giving it a polish and wax haha love these cars.

Anyway just wanted to say hello and I was wondering if there is anybody else who lives near me?

Great looking site aswell. Already learnt a few tips and tricks ;P

 Welcome onboard mate, Im from Sheffield but live in Doncaster now, get some pics up and i'll keep an eye out for you, i'll be the low mk5 jetta avoiding speedbumps and potholes if you see me haha  :happy2:

Hi thanks for all the replys yes I'll get some photos up tomorrow,
Just been out in the car and I got a warning light come on :( exhaust warning lamp.
So I will be on the search for Sombody with vcds  near me. :( car is still under warranty but I'll have to take it 50 miles.

Just got myself a milltek exhaust. Fitted it last sat. Sounds great. Seems to be a bit better on throttle response.

Got it second hand from Big-Pete on here. Gave it a good clean up before fitting it. I'm gonna make a build thread when I get chance.

I'll be in Rotherham this weekend Lee (East Dene  :ashamed:) and probably Brinsworth.  Will keep an eye out for you.  Certainly numbers for a S.Yorks mini meet now  :drinking:
