Title: Rim Tape

I've just got some of this:

Plan to put it around the small rim on my Monza II's to see how it looks! Its just red tape pre-cut to the wheel diameter/rim width.

Could be a very cheap and easy mod to those on here who want to change the colour of their wheel rim....? It's only about £3 for enough applications for all four wheels and four spare sections!

The only problem I've got is that the incrementals start at 3mm, then go to 7mm.....but the rim on the Monza II is about 4.5mm, but I'll fit it later and see how it looks!

I got the idea from some people on the Lotus forum, who have been doing it for years on their Elise's. Works very well I hear.

there's not much lip on the Monza's to put the tape on tho is there???

Yeah you're right Lee, its only about 4.5mm. Its the edge that is angled back towards the tyre.

I was hoping that it would look similar to Nathan's wheels. But its a shame that this tape isnt a little thicker. Maybe I will give the company a call and ask if they can make up some 4.5mm tape for me  :smiley:
