Hello! I have a 2005 GTI with the standard fit stereo in it (aerial in the rear window). I also have an iPhone 4 and I would like to fit a handsfree kit in my car without bits of equpt bolted here there and everywhere! Anyone have any suggestions about which route to take and also cost and fitting? Thank you all in advance.

Best way possible is to get the RNS510 head unit (one in the forsale section for £400) BARGAIN :happy2:
Radio,CD,Mp3,HDD,DVD....Phone and Reverse Parking Camera facility.
For the iphone4 you would need the Skoda Bluetooth phone module 1Z0035729B :happy2: (can be bought for around £350, unless u can find one 2nd hand.....rockin horse poo though)
Awesome kit :notworthy:
But if I had to buy them again, I would definitely spend a grand for the two.
...worth every last penny IMO.

depends if you have a 'highline' instrument cluster or not....
if you HAVE then one route is to go the RNS510/OEM bluetooth route
or you could get a fiscon bluetooth kit...
or if you havent got a highline instrument cluster and just want a bog standard handsfree kit just pickup a parrot mki9200, with that you can have bluetooth a2dp streaming through your iphone and the stereo
if you know how to remove the headunit/stereo then they're all a doddle to fit!
