:signLOL:

^ Chris Rock, that's very funny.
IMHO you can't beat Richard Pryor. Have been trawling YouTube tying to find the sketch I am thinking about, can't find it :sad1: ho hum, keep looking!
-
Dave Chappelle :happy2:
I have all the seasons on doovda

-

Impossible to pick out just one favourite standup artist but this is one of my many favourites:
^ Nina is daughter of the actor Tom Conti.

did you see him live a couple of years ago? i dunno if he toned down his act for the UK or not but it was nothing special. his warm up was funnier!
older acts were hilarious tho
Dave Chappelle :happy2:

i like Dave Chappelle, and Chappelle's show was some of the funniest shiz i've ever seen - but i resent it for what it did to his career and for the wrist exercisers who exploited him for it

I love this sketch from Lee Evans
-
I used to love Lee evans, but he just uses the same material these days. Same goes for Peter Kay.
My old man used to watch Freddy Starr all the time. That guy has me in fits every time i see him
-
I've been to see lee Evans and he was so disapointing. So was dara o'brien.
Best comedians I've seen are rhod Gilbert, Russell Howard, and frankie boyle. Jimmy Carr was pretty good aswell.

Lee Evans just swears his way through gigs nowadays and they're far too long. Someone bought me his DVD for Crimbo a few years ago and it was about 3 hours long!
-
Bill Hicks :congrats:
-
Bit old school for me but the disc of Jim Davidson doing his forces show from about 1996 for me is the funniest stand up I've seen.
Guess doing a show for a few thousand army troops made it extra relevant for some of his military gags. I think the show was called "With the Boys" or something like.
More recently the Robin Williams show from 2009? I think that was called "Weapons of Self Destruction".
His gags about getting a bovine heart valve was terrific "so he can now sh17 while standing up".
Also the fact he can mimic any voice and deliver jokes in that way makes me crack up laughing.
-
I can't believe no one has posted a Tommy Cooper sketch. :stupid:

There's a full vid for Ladies Of The World, too. They do roller disco dancing in it.
-
"video removed by user"
have you watched all the TV episodes as well, makes me laugh so much.
-
I couldn't see if the vid worked on my iPod, sorry. Yeah I have both seasons on DVD, plus the original radio series and the 1st album. Love it!
Try this one that works: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5fsea_flight-of-the-conchords-ladies-of-t_music

It was the radio series that got me into them! Very funny :happy2:
When I first heard them I didn't know they were so popular (especially in the US). I thought they were just a couple of nobodies with great talent.
Seen quite alot of their stuff now :notworthy:

Jack Dee-Emporium of Fizz is one of my favourites.
Talks about the magic which is 'Soda Stream'.

Always liked Jim Davidson, until he did a small gig for us in Cyprus. We were cringing after a while, and he upset a few figian guys that were in the crowd with the non stop racism.
NOw everytime i watch him i think hes rubbish
-
He's a racist, sexist nob who should've been put out of his misery as soon as the 80s started.
-
Superb.
Looking to see him live fairly soon :happy2:
Probably the only naturally alternative comedian I find genuinely interesting and funny.

Did you catch any of his comedy vehicle? Was very good.
The story about Cameron and Osbourne was particularly good
-
bill bailey is awesome! seen him live a couple of times, sheer genius!
-
Love my comedy, especially stand up. From old school Jim Davidson and Jethro (older stuff), Billy Connelly, all the way through the likes of Bill Bailey, Jimmy Carr, Rich hall to some of the newer stand ups coming through. Only few nowadays don't use re hashed material, as said in here Lee Evans and some others are getting a bit same old. But this is a clip that always has me busting up Dara O'briain and his computer game routine:
