Found this today, gutted. Tried polishing it out but no chance. It's cut real deep. Oh well good excuse to get the whole bumper painted. :sad1:

I had the same thing happen to me recently, shopping trolley in tesco car park.
Had to get full rear bumper respray :sad1:

Was on a high as well as i'd just fitted my walk and autotech rarb. Thought i'd give the old girl a wash and found it. Wounded.

I've had three such incidents since September when I bought it. People are just so careless in supermarkets, they just want to get in and out and don't give a toss what they or their kids do with car doors and trolleys.

Not good especially when people drive off knowing without leaving a note. On a slightly plus side you can respray the whole bumper and get rid of any stone chips!

Gutting isn't it. This is the main reason I hate washing my car - finding new marks. I thought I had some wax residue on a door strip. Turned out that some paint had flaked off right in the middle of the bump strip.

I feel for you mate hope you get it sorted.
Reminds me while in Tesco a few years back in my newly aquired RX8 some inconsiderate A hole rammed their trolley into my rear 1/4 giving it a nice dent and long scratch.
Nowadays peeps don't hesitate to do a runner after causing some damage to your car! :fighting:

Park between the Lines in a car park,you get dent or a scrape
Park over 2 bays in a car park,you get keyed or spit on
Park in a disable bay,you get evils and an argument
Park in a Parent child space,You get a chavy mum in a piece of crap with a 15 year old kid mouthing off at you
I once parked at the furthest point in a Sainsburys Car Park (Empty),and when i got back some beat up old transit was
parked right next to my car with minimal room for me to open my car door !!!!!!!
you cant win......
Insurance is so expensive these days that most people just wont accept liability for anything because they cant afford the increase.
I feel your pain its happen to me and many others on here.

I feel your pain too, I found one on front bumper and one on rear bumper :sad1:

It sucks big time mate, not long after i got my Golf i use to park in the car park at work and one day i was walking over to get a car to MOT and saw some woman open the rear door of her piece of old sh*t against my rear door, it not only left a 2in red mark on my door it also dented it, i confronted her about it and she said i have no proof, i put both hands on my door and said the thick red mark that is the same colour as your car is a bit of proof, she wouldnt have it, as she was a customer i couldnt go to mad (small village that sort of thing) anyway we had her car in 10 days later for service and MOT, it failed badly (not thro me being hard) and needed a bucket load spent, karma, what goes around comes around, still pisses me off, as that was 2 yrs ago and i havent had the dent sorted yet so see it everytime i look at my car :sad1:

Sickener - Ive had to fix two 'door opening' dents in my rear quarter panels in 18 months , after some tool has opened their door into my car. My GTI is my only car so I have no option but to use it on shopping trips.

Tbh i dont even know when or where it was done. I dont do shopping as the wife does it. The only place i can think of is at the golf course or work as it wasn't there last week. I may check the cameras at work to see if its some nob there.

I think 95% of persons are just spiteful...I park away from everyone else in car parks and the moment you do someone parks literally on your door :fighting: :fighting: :fighting: ...happens everytime without fail.....Im sorry to hear such news all the same

Last week I went into town and found a parking space when I had a better look thought thats tight and moved on ,We walked back past the first space and a guy in his 50s was trying it for size ,First he bumped the car behind then pulled forward bumped that one then for good measure backed in to the one behind, I stood there looking and he said PROBLEM !,would you like me to move I explained you have just bashed both cars while parking he just looked at me then got back in his car to move it, to be honest I couldn't watch him any longer but what a piece off worthless sh*t he couldn't have given a flying F.

Personall if that was me mate, i would have written his reg no down and left a little note under the wiper of both cars explaining what had happened along with the tw4ts reg no. Then again thats just me. Arseholes like that should be banned from the road

I had mine for 2 weeks before someone decided to scratch down the side of my car in a carpark...barstewardss! no note left or anything either...

My other half was shopping at asda. When she came out the front wing.door,sill had all been dented. She asked staff to check the cameras. They said there was nothing on film. Looks like it was hit by a 4x4 or pick up truck. It's only a 53 Nissan almera but it still pisses us off. :fighting:
