Title: My Edition30 meets Detailing World**update**
Post by: maxload on April 01, 2012, 10:30:25 am
I saw this thread on Detailing World http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=246929  and was guided by steve to his man detailing dave. Big thanks to saintsteve  :happy2:

My car has been well looked after , but was lacking a real deep shine and was in need of a machine polish to bring the paint back to life and to try to remove some minor swirls. So it was off to see detailing dave so he could work his magic for me.

Look here for the detailing world thread http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=258686

After the engine was cleaned , AG silicone tyre dressing was sprayed on. This goes on as a foam, but after 30mins or so the foam had gone to leave a lovely glossy finish. I'm amazed at how new it looks.  :happy2:

That was his own special mix of AG degreaser , Gunk and a car shampoo which I cant remember the name of. It certainly did the trick

Brilliant results there, no doubt with many hours of hard work. Am "practicing" with my DAS6 DA and if I can get it half as good as that I will be well chuffed.

Great turnaround on the car. Thought there were watermarks and turned out to be reflections from the surroundings!

It would've been sooner but the mk2 has cost me a fair whack recently and to add I've been so busy!

Will be good though. It's desperate for a good clean now

A couple of beading pics. Not the best quality but you get the idea. Poorboys wax is something I had never tried before , but after seeing how easy it is to use and the lovely glossy finish it leaves I will be buying some for sure  :happy2:

Just been looking at some of your stuff over on Detailing World and the GTI's on here and WOW that's impressive mate. Would love you to have a go on my Tornado Red ED30. Covered in all sorts of swirls and no matter how hard I try she is just not at her best. From a distance (in a dusky light) she looks perrrrrfect but close up :sad1:
Good work fella  :happy2:

So yesterday saw me return to the garage where dreams come true. Not for more sausage rolls , but to paint my rusty hubs and dust covers and to fill some stone chips plus remove what we think are cat scratches on the bonet.
The bonet though will have to wait as we need some wool pads because the foam pads wouldn't remove them , so thats a job for another day.

So it was off with the wheels and on with the Hammerite....

The sh*te under my arche's was terrible. Must have been carrying 1/2 tonne of crap around under there  :surprised:
