First of all, a high recommendation to Nige at BCS for the downpipe, the mechanic said its the best fit and build quality he's fitted.
What an animal the edition 30 is now!! Super quick, pulls strong all the way and sounds CRAZY :driver

When you say pulls string, does this mean you are now french or have you ventured into the wedding car business. :innocent: Forge do a nice Kitch can to tie onto your string. :pomppomp:

It has to be really the forge one needs maintenance and causes lots of problems it seems. :happy2:

Cheers mike. Now looking for the best intercooler set up........ Let the flood gates open

Haha. I hope not!!!!

This is the same route I want to go i already have the rev D diverter valve and ITG CAI want a BCS downpipe soon and autotech internals then map
Do you have standard cat back and are you glad you chose Revo software?
-
Do you have standard cat back
I'd be interested in that question. I went away from the standard cat-back to a Piper cat-back but understand that the flow restriction isn't in this area and that a standard 2.5" cat-back would not have any detrimental effect even when getting up to the Stage 3 / K04 level. My issue is with the noise even at cruising speeds.

I was lucky enough to go for a ride in the BCS demo Golf GTI fitted with the TBE valvetech exhaust and am happ[y to report it was quiet at cruising speeds without any drone, even at 80-85mph (on a private road/track :happy2:) it was nice and quiet, only when you floor it (on boost) did it wake up and sound sporty which is exactly what I wanted (great for stealth installs as your GF will likely not know unless she floors it everywhere ), currently saving up and hoping ton get my TBE fitted in May.
-
I've got it fitted a 3" blueflame system with "suitcase" delete. Sounds great when your giving it some heavy right foot and very quiet at motorway speeds in 6th.
-
I have the full BCS TBE fitted on my Octy and it is very quiet at cruising speeds. You can hear it in the background and is not intrusive. Its only when you accelerate hard that it comes to life. I know BCS have the option of fitting an extra silencer which makes the exhaust quiter than standard, for those who want the go without the show.
-
Yes, this is what I'd be looking for - I don't mind the noise when flooring it - it is particularly the motorway cruising speed drone that I could do without.
This valvetec thingy sounds interesting. I wonder if Nige @ BCS will have this for a new Octavia when I get it in about 12 weeks??
If not, I will go standard cat-back (as I don't believe that it is a bottleneck) or perhaps the 3" cat-back with the extra silencer

Spill the beans then. When and what
-
 Jeez, there's no hiding from anything here
A candy white VRS Hatchback - I've opted for manual instead of DSG just out of personal preference.....and yes...I will be modding the bejeeziz out of it
-
Nice one :congrats:
-
Sweet :congrats:
-
Yeah, I can't go back to a standard car so JKM will be removing turbo, gearbox, suspension, zorst, intercooler etc etc.....on a car with delivery mileage on the clock!!  :jumping:
...and it's hello mods and goodbye warranty! :signLOL:
-
I spoke to Nige about the power valve for my octavia and they arent doing it at the moment :sad1:
I will probably plump for the 100cel downpipe and 3 silencer system instead.
Good call on modding the delivery mileage car muckipup :happy2:

Just like mine only Dave recommended the 200 cel for our cars, as the 200 cel will easily flow enough gas up to about 380 bhp. More than we need with the K03 and K04.
-
Cheers :happy2:
I will be contacting Nige myself shortly!
Will the 100cel cat still be well within the limits for the emissions test? My Pipwerx 200 cel was by miles but just wondering about 100 cel.
-
I thout you had the slightly more raucous one?
-
Nige said it was fine and dues to its 125mm diameter it flowed more like a Decat on bench testing.
The quality of the work is exceptional and Nige seems like a nice bloke too.
-
I stuck with the 200 cel purely as dave said it was a fit and forget system. Some 100 cel cats from other companies have passed the mot and others have failed. I didnt want to risk it. Next time you are in Mansfield you will have to drop by and have a listen to my exhaust and see what you think. The sound is very addictive when on w.o.t
-
I am heading up to see the guys at Shark in the next few weeks so will give you a shout. We could both have stage 3 cars by then

PS what the heck is a 'valvetronic' exhaust? I guess there is a valve in there somewhere but how does it operate? Isn't there potential for it to coke up?
-
It is a valves that open in the silencer at 3500rpm, or when it come on boost and bypasses the silencer. I really wanted it, especially when Nige was describing it to me. Who wouldnt want that? :driver:
-
Oooh I like the sound of that !
I wonder if/when Nige will get one sorted for the new Octavia TSI (or if it is the same as the Mk6 GTI).
-
These new valved exhausts are brilliant. The Golf R i had the other month had one from miltek and i loved it. meaty sound, but quiet until above 4000rpm.
The APR RSC exhuasts are appatrently even quieter below 4000rpm, but really open up after
-
What's the cost of the APR RSC pipe vs the BCS system?
-
No idea dave. Don't know what either cost. Id imagine similar though
-
The APR RSC is roughly £120 more than the equivalent BCS Valvetech system (I looked into both as I was looking at RSC (for quieter zorst) until I heard/saw the BCS valvetech, its what im goin for and saving for now :happy2:
-
Cheers mate - that makes two of us then :happy2:
I hope Nige sorts out a valvetec for a new Octavia soon
-
I am sure he will be adding more product lines as both development and time will allow, cant wait to get mine on, car booked in for cambelt service week on monday so stage 1 shortly after then intake and exhaust to follow :happy2:
