				Hi guys i have a mk5 gti o5 plate and i have no idea if i am doing this right wanted to know if some of the more experienced heads could give me some tips! 
 
 I put it into sport mode and hold my left foot on the brake and rev my engine up to 1500rpm it will not go any higher?! also it is a dsg and has been remapped with giac extreme software and has dsg software too i think stage 2 evoms intake 3inch turbo back exhaust. 280-290bhp.
 
 Any help much appreciated!

 Dude that is launch controll right there.
 
 I havent had my DSG box mapped yet but when i do lauch controll it revs to around 1500-2000rpm and just holds, all you need to do is let go of the brake!

				As long as like Rich said, ESP is turned off  :happy2:

				yep ESP is off and i have tried it and seemed to work quite well just wanted to double check! thanks for the tips guys appreciate it!

				When i had my DSG leon,
 
 you have to do the following.....
 
 1/ Turn ESP off, wait for it to appear on dash
 2/switch to either S tronic or +-
 3/ HOLD break with left foot.....
 4/ Bury accelerator....... revs will climb! to about 2,000
 
 release break and hold on!

				Is this bad for car? Im sure if you do it alot it could damage the dsg system? Ive never done it in mine yet, because i dont know if its bad or not. And i know once ive done it donce ill want to do it allllllot more haha.

				Occasional use shouldn't have adverse effects, however the DSG electronics unit keeps a log of how many times you 'launch', should you ever make a warranty claim on the DSG box they may take into account how many launches you have performed  :happy2:
