The newer pcv's have an additional check valve in one of the pipes if your car is older you need to change the pipe as well or stick to a certain revision before the check valve was added.

I had this when i replaced a PCV for a later version.
I took it off and got the same part no. as the one fitted and that cured the problem.

Thanks for your help, will leave old one on for know and get a hose order tuesday

I replaced mine with the N version - Part no. 06F 129 101 N a couple of weeks ago and all has been fine, certainly not had any rough idling. Guess you'll need the new check valve as Fab5freddy says. :happy2:

If your car is an early one it will need the N revision valve. If your car is circa 2007 then it will need the P revision valve. If your is the later one id say your rear check valve is broken and needs replacing. Or you could just fit the N revision and not bother with the rear breather hose.

Just seen your car reg in the members rides. You need the N revision as yours is a 2006 model.

Ok, thanks for the responses, will order a version N
Will put the version P on here for sale
Thanks craig

Is 06F 129 101 L not the right part number?
-
The N replaced the L revision

So if I had this pcv 06F 129 101 F on my car, which would be the correct revised part number I would need the cars a edition 30 2007
-
If you have the F you need the N :happy2:
