the car feels so much better already but should i be worried or change the coils? found a little oil around the oil cap aswell which means i have a excuse to buy the pvc fix

-
I have that on mine and the car is a new TSi so i wouldn't worry about it

-
its normal had mine changed under warranty a month ago and old ones we like this vw said it may need a rockercover gasket but its fine as it is

-
Cheers everyone, I might change them for the sake of changing them. Although they looked pretty clean apart from that staining and there was some in the actual slot . Does anyone actually know what it is?

Shabba - did they quote you on how much that would cost? (although being vw probably alot!)
-
Your wasting about £160 if you change them just for this.

They are ok and mine ran like that on my last car no issues for 67k miles for 3 of them. I only ever had one coil fail at about 25k miles.  :happy2:

:happy2: cheers bud, think ill give it a miss until I start getting problems then. Just made me scratch my head when I saw it! I might change the gasket - just looked at a how do and it lookes extremly easy and I've got all the right tools etc

-
Its a form of grease VW apply to the coil packs as standard.

-
They didnt quote. I wouldnt change it. have VW changed your coil packs under warranty yet?
