He there in just about 2 order a blueflame tbe do I need 2 stage 2 it or should I 2 + it what's the pros and cons of both options cheers andy
-
Stage 2 is good for it, It will take out the exhaust light that may come up and also writes out the second sensor on the cat/decat
-
You need an uprated hpfp for stage 2+.

Hi I've wondered the same I've just had the blue flame tbe with back box delete fitted and have stage 1 and intake so is it realy worth the 300£ for stage 2 when gaining minimal bhp or would 2+ be worth it or just leave I have no lights on dash all good cheers ,

What software are you using?
When I have discussed stage 2 with JKM, I was told that they load a slightly 'watered down' Revo Stage 2 to K03 cars to avoid fuel cuts.
In their opinion, the standard fuel pump can't handle Stage 2, and suggest the use of an uprated HPFP for best results.

a few members of VAGOC are of the opinion that Stage 2 is just an exhaust light delete and doesn't actually give any noticable power increase (tho to be fair most of them are S3/TT-S owners)
tbh mate i'd jump straight to Stage 2+. i'm jumping straight to Stage 2+ from a standard map once i get a chance to get my car off the road lol
-
the 2+ map adds power mid range and gets rid of a small flat spot i believe.
I recommend getting the fuel pump as a stage 2 map is pushing the pump afaik
-
Think il leave alone then just stay stage 1 it drives like a animal as it is
-
I have heard a few VAG specialists state that a HPFP is not needed on a KO3 engine for a Stage 2, only Stage 2 +....

this is true.
-
But did you not advocate getting a HPFP for Stage 2 in an earlier reply??
Andrew
-
yeah
but i didnt say it was needed, i just said id do it because imo a stage 2 map is pushing the pump, to avoid fuel cuts and to give a bit of head room id do it

oh right, well when i get a custom remap Stage 2, i am hoping they will take everything like this into account!?
