Post by: edition_30 on April 11, 2012, 09:59:46 pm
I need to disconnect my battery for no longer then a minute. Was wondering will I loose my revo settings?

It should revert to stock Revo settings.

Will I need a select plus switch to reapply the settings?

Also when connecting the switch will it show default values opposed to the values I was running?

Unless you know your current values, when you log in with the SPS switch, it will show B1T1F1 or whatever stock is. You will then need to set it to what it was before. Whoever did your remap should be able to tell you this. I was told my settings at the time the map was applied.

.
When you disconnect the battery the map sets back to Revo's 'stock', but when you use the switch to reload the 'Revo' remap, it will load the same Revo B/T/F settings you had previously. So no problem or visit to a Revo dealer necessary.

If however, your VW dealer flashes your ECU with an update it will effectively cancel your Revo remap so you would then need to have that reinstated. Some Revo agents charge a small fee for this and others don't. If they don't already know you, you may have to prove ownership of the Revo licence.

I have had the remap for some time but only this weekend had my settings changed to  Boost 8 Timing 5 Fuel 9. This was not done by the dealer but my car felt so smooth. So are we saying that anybody with an sps switch will be able to apply the above settings for me?
