Title: Yank tanks.
Post by: Bane on April 16, 2012, 11:29:59 am
I have a hankering now for something V8 HEMI and of the late 60's vintage.Maybe I'm heading for that midlife crisis, but instead of a Harley,I want a Plymouth Roadrunner,Barracuda or a Camaro.Might even go for the more modern versions of the Camaro,Charger,Challenger but NOT a Mustang...too many of them about.
Anyone had any experience of these kind of cars and what sort of things to look for?
I don't want it as a daily,I would just squirrel it away in storage for nice sunny day cruising and be happy to pootle around in a 1.2 Polo as a daily. (that might be an exaggeration!)

Would have to be a 68 - 69 Dodge Charger for me.   Mind you if you want to get one of the big old American muscle cars, check the size against your garage as they are huge and don't fit in most garages.

A friend has a Plymouth and it sounds great but he does go pale when he has to fill it up at the pumps.
