Hi guys recently had the car serviced and wanted to know how much you think a cv boot repair would cost. Awesome GTI quoted me £180. They said both ends had split? :surprised:
-
Just had mine done at JKM for half that price
All the best

If its the boot I would get the cv joint changed as well as you don't know what damage could of been done. Plus it's about the same amount of labour to change as the boot as the driveshaft still needs to be disconnected.
I bought my cv joints with boot kit seperately and then paid 1.5 hours labour for someone to fit for me
-
If there are two boots on on the drive shaft? I may have only had one replaced, sorry i can't find the paperwork
-
£180 does seem rather steep to me :0
-
Not as steep as the £259 VW quoted me.
-
I'm gonna have to ring around and see who can offer me the best price.

Ring White Rose VW, speak to Ben Smith on service, has always looked after me and likes a good GTI. He has no problems with anything modded, but let them no its mapped to stop them updating and wiping it. :happy2:
