Title: Suspension springs snapped!!!

Hi all my mates mk5 golf front passenger side suspension spring has snapped,
are these a common fault and how much are these usually to replace?

What Golf is it Scott? I have a full set of shocks and spring from my gt done about 40k miles no leaks or rust,  and they are the earlier lower one's unlike some of the newer ones that look 2 mile high :P I would take £50 for the lot plus postage or you can collect which ever would be cheaper for you/him.

Hi darren its a 2005 gt tdi 140,my mate works @ vw so he will get good discount,but thanks for the offer darren :happy2:

Yeah they're common on all cars.

The coldest week of the year is usually the time they snap.  They should be around £30 each from a motor factor.
