Hi guys.
I have just recieved a bottle of Gtechniq G5 water repellant in the post.I thought i'd give it a go as it should be better than rain-X and also easier to apply than G1/G2,but on reading the destructions on the back of the bottle it states."For auto applications G5 is only recommended for vehiclesonly driven at less than 40mph. Otherwise use G1.
The problem being that G5 is apparantley re bottled G3 and was for use on cars.
Any of you guys shed any light on my ickle problem ?
neil.

I used G3 on my windows. Over six months later, awesome of side windows. Useless on the rear (apart from when washing!) and not so good on the front. It works and it works fine but doesn't last very long. Maybe 6-8 weeks? I do a mix of a-roads, b-roads and motorways.
Up to you. Use it if you want. Return it for G1 if you don't.
