I have just finished doing this to my car mate. What i did was watch loads of you tube how to's then just cracked on with it. The beauty of it is you learn on the way!

I would deffinatly recomend sanding off the loose peeling rubbery crap though. I sanded it back to raw plastic but thats just me. And indstead of a heat gun i used a hair dryer and it worked fine! Will try and get some pics up for you

Why wrap it?

Get it out and get it dipped (if possible)?

That's one of the problems I can't get it apart from the air vents to remove it from the dash :(

Try this link mate. Might not be "exactly" what your after but I hope it helps. Used this when removing my stereo. Would also highly recommend using trim tools for such jobs, can be bought from eBay for no more than £5 for a pack of 4 assorted sizes.
Good luck!!
